Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the Get A Guard application
(the “App”), which is owned and operated by Get A Guard Pty Ltd (the “Company,”
“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the App, you, the user, agree to be bound
by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must cease using the App
immediately.
2. Services
The Company provides a subscription-based service through the app, facilitating
employment connections within the security industry (“Services”). Specifically:
- Security officers may create a profile and apply for job opportunities posted by security firms.
- Security firms may create a profile and post job listings to recruit security officers.
3. Registration
- To register an account on our App you must be capable of entering into a legally binding contract in the country in which you live.
- You must ensure that the details provided by you to us on registration (or at any time) are correct and complete.
- You must inform us immediately of any changes to the information that you provided when registering by updating your personal details so that we can communicate with you effectively.
4. Password and Security
- When you register an account through our App you will be asked to create a password (“Login Details”). In order to prevent fraud, you must keep your Login Details confidential and must not disclose them or share them with anyone. You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorised use of your Login Details or any other breach of security that is relevant to us.
- If we have reason to believe that there is likely to be a breach of security or misuse of our App, we may require you to change your Login Details or we may suspend your account.
- You are entirely responsible if you do not maintain the confidentiality of your Login Details. Furthermore, you are entirely responsible for any and all activities that occur within or through your account. You may change your password at any time by following the instructions in ‘Settings’. You may also delete services attached to your registration at your convenience.

If you do not maintain the confidentiality of your Login Details:
- all resulting direct losses or damage incurred by us or you shall be borne by you; and
- you shall fully indemnify us for any loss or damage suffered by us as a direct result of your Login Details being compromised, except to the extent we contributed to any such loss or damage.
5. Subscription and Payment Terms
- The Company offers subscription plans on a monthly and annual basis. Details of the subscription fees are available within the App.
- The Company accepts payment via PayPal and credit/debit card merchant facilities. All payments must be made in the currency specified at the point of purchase.
- All subscriptions are final and non-refundable. Users who choose to terminate their subscription prior to the expiration of the term will not receive a refund for any unused portion.
- Subscription plans will automatically renew at the end of each term unless the user cancels the subscription prior to the renewal date. Users will be notified in advance of any changes to the subscription fees.
- In the event of a failed payment, the Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate the user’s access to the App until the outstanding payment is made.
6. Use of the Service
- Users are required to create an account and provide accurate and complete information during the registration process. The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that provides false or misleading information.
- Security officers may apply for job listings posted by security firms. Upon acceptance of an application, the security officer’s profile information, including but not limited to their security licence, first aid certification, RSA certificate, and VISA details, will be made available to the security firm.
- Security firms may post job listings within the App. The Company does not guarantee the receipt of applications in response to any job listing.
- It is the sole responsibility of the security firm to comply with all applicable employment laws, including but not limited to the payment of correct award wages, Superannuation contributions, and adherence to any other statutory requirements. We do not assume any liability for the security firm’s failure to meet these obligations.
- The security firm must maintain current Public Liability Insurance, a valid Firm’s License/Master License, Work Cover and any other relevant industry licenses, including but not limited to a Labour Hire License in Queensland (QLD), where applicable. The security firm warrants that it holds and will continue to hold these licenses and insurances during its use of our services.
- Users agree to use the App in a manner consistent with all applicable laws and regulations. The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to the App for any user who engages in unlawful or prohibited activities.
7. Notices
- All notices, requests, consents, claims, demands, waivers, and other communications under this Agreement must be in writing and addressed to the Company at the address specified within the App or as otherwise designated by the Company. Notices to users shall be sent to the email address associated with their account or delivered through in-app notifications.
- Notices sent by email or in-app notification shall be deemed to have been received on the date sent, provided that no bounce-back or error message is received. Notices sent by registered or certified mail shall be deemed to have been received three business days after the date of mailing.
